Introduction:

By using modern engineering and technology we have designed a belt which is going to protect cows from accidents on high way at night.

A survey indicates that:

1-Generally cows and bulls prefer to take rest on highways to avoid mosquitoes and flies.

2-The green grass on divider is sometimes a reason for attraction.

2-At night, the high way feels warm than ground.

So, at night accident occurs with vehicle drivers and cows due to vision problem and lack of consciousness. The black coloured cattle are very difficult to distinguish at night. Our designed belt blinks at night and alerts the vehicle driver from a long distance.

Components required:

1. Resistor
2. Variable sistor
3. Capacitor
4. Battery
5. Lithium-ion battery charger circuit
6. LDR
7. LED
8. Solar panel
9. 555 timer ic

Working:

The belt arranged with red LEDs is tied on the neck of cattle. During day time, the battery is charged by a solar panel. At night the belt blink due to an astable-multivibrator circuit automatically. The LDR based circuit starts the LEDs at evening and stops the glowing at day light automatically. At night, red light can be visible from a longer distance due to its higher wavelength. So, the driver can distinguish the object on high way from a longer distance.

Advantages:

1. It tries to avoid the accident at night. So, it saves the lives of both cattle and vehicle driver.
2. It gets the energy from non-conventional energy source.
3. It doesn’t need any maintenance and operator for this. The battery charging, circuit ON and OFF process is automatic.
4. It is not affected by rain.
