Introduction:

Climbing steps is a difficult task for senior citizens. Transporting loads through staircase needs too much muscular effort also. Here we have a design to solve the problem. By taking the help of modern engineering and technology we have designed a steps climbing setup which makes the transport smooth and easier. It can be helpful for both human and goods transportation at staircase. It is safe as its pawl and ratchet mechanism prevents the downward fall.

Components required:

1. Wheel
2. Pawl and ratchet mechanism
3. Motor
4. Battery
5. Aluminum frame

Working:

Motor drives the wheels in forward direction. The developed grip is sufficient enough to overcome steps and forwarding the setup. It can transport loads as well as a human being. The pawl and ratchet mechanism provides the necessary lock which prevents falling down of the setup. This is an automatic process.

Advantages:

1. This automatic process can provide a comfortable and safe climbing.
2. It is helpful for senior citizens as well as load transportations at stairs.
