Introduction :
Considering the harmful effects of flood, we have designed an automatic flood resistant house. By taking the help of modern engineering and technology we have prepared a developed infrastructure which is automatically moved vertically upward when flood water level is increased. This process is very simple, effective as well as powerful having similarity with the process of lifting a truck by the help of a jack. The heart of the project is based on a nut and bolt mechanism.

Working :
When flood water touches the water sensor pins, it triggers the timer circuit. The timer circuit is activated and rotates the motor in forward direction through H-bridge for 13.2 seconds. This happens for every time the flood water touches the sensor pins. The jack is attached to motor by crank arrangement. As a result, the jack lifts the house up, above the flood water level. A jack is an arrangement of powerful nut and bolt in which if one is fixed and the other is rotated, then the rotational motion is transformed into linear motion. After the decrement of flood water level, the house is set downward by operating the switch accordingly. The switch rotates the motor in a reverse direction through H-bridge. The reverse rotation of motor operates the jack to take the infrastructure down.
Advantages :
- This uplifting process is automatic even if the human beings are not present inside the house.
- It gets the required electric power from sunlight through solar panels. So, the system is independent from electric grid.
- It protects the lives and goods during flood situation by preventing water inrush into house.
