Introduction

In this project we are making an automatic smoke detector alarm system, which will help to detect smoke and provide an alarm to control pollution. This circuit can work directly on line supply as well as from an alkaline battery. The pollution board can install this system where it wants to control the intensity of pollution just like in industry areas or workshops or manufacturing and processing units.

Rationale

When there is smoke it produces hazardous conditions and polute the environment. In this project we shall be able to detect smoke and take action against that.

Scientific Principle

This sensor detects the concentrations of smoke in the air. The conductivity of the sensitive material inside it is higher when the smoke concentration increases. As a result it activates the circuit and produces siren.

Materials required

Hard board, red lights, wires, transformer, diodes, capacitors, vero board, screws, frames, stickers , transistors, switch, integrated circuit, sensor etc.

Construction

The components are connected appropriately following the design rule. The circuits are mounted on the board.

Working

Here is a simple circuit based on a sensor which sense smoke and generates an alarm to avoid pollution.

Application

Alert against serious air pollution.

It can be used to avoid the noise of alcohol, cooking fumes and cigarette smoke also.
